Students will write sentences with different text structures to impact the audience. Students should counterargue other student's sentences when possible.

logos: facts on what park did

Impact: sad for the duck, horrified

pathos: feel horrible

Text structure: description

One day, she saw the duck's wings jutting out. It looked like it was in pain. She asked the attendnat at the park what was wrong. "That's angel wings. That deformity happens when you feed ducks bread."

Text structure: chronological

She fed him every day for a year.

Impact: Sue likes the duck a lot

No ethos, pathos or logos yet

Text strucutre: cause and effect

If you don't write your name, you get no credit.

Yesterday Sue saw a duck and fed it bread.
