Latest updates, inspiring OrgPages and what's next in OrgPad?

How does it work?

OrgPad creates a square mask for transparent images, separating their transparent and opaque areas. To find the end of the transparent part of the connecting line, we just look for the first opaque square along the line towards the image center. The arrow is then placed in the middle of the visible part of the connecting line.

Our plan for the holiday season

During this summer, we will focus on improving OrgPad's new text editor and expanding mobile device support. We will also troubleshoot and fine-tune the app to ensure it is working optimally. We are confident that these efforts will result in an elevated OrgPad experience when you return after the summer break. 🌟

March: Full support for mobile editing

Do you still remember the time when you could only edit cell titles on mobile phones? Since March, that's a thing of the past! 🎉

We've made a number of changes to make OrgPages fully editable from mobile devices. Tap into the full potential of your phone in OrgPad.

Need to quickly add an image while taking notes? Simply draw or snap a photo, and seamlessly upload it from your phone directly into the cell where it belongs. Experience the convenience of effortless image integration in OrgPad!

Hour by hour

April - June: Server adjustments

At the beginning of April, we embarked on the largest changes to the server since its launch in the summer of 2019. The change consisted of three stages:

  1. We created analytical tools that we integrated into the production server and began to measure its behavior in everyday operation.
  2. We built a cache-db, an image of the database that is in the server's working memory. As a result, we handle a large part of the requests faster and without the need to visit the database. This has significantly reduced the load on the server. The server also responds much faster and thus can handle the ever-increasing load. Among other things, this change enabled further improvements on the customer-facing client running in the web browser. With the improvements to the dashboard, less data is transferred as a result and the dashboard loads much faster. Also, search results that match public OrgPages are now included at the bottom of the result listing for inspiration. Seamless transitions make working in OrgPad natural and satisfying.
  3. We have optimized internal calculations. They no longer strain the server as much as before, and we have saved several GB of memory.

Faster list of OrgPages

Now, when you open the list, you will see the latest version right away. You don’t have to wait for the server to load. It's stored directly in the browser's memory. We also check for any updates in the background and add them to the list quickly, usually within one second. This way, you can browse the OrgPages list without any delays.

What have we achieved?

Since January, we have nearly doubled (44% increase) the number of organisations that pay for OrgPad. 75 schools are now our customers and hundreds more use the free version occasionally.

We have changed how you can share

In the search results, you will see:

If you wish to share an OrgPage with someone who is not among the suggestions, you can simply enter the email address associated with their OrgPad account.

Want to win a free OrgPad license? Join our summer competition!

The Public OrgPages on www.orgpad.com/public serve as a vital hub for sharing content and ideas. There are so many great examples in Czech, but we want more in English too. That is why we are launching a summer competition to inspire you to create awesome English content.

You can become one of the three lucky creators, who will win a professional annual license for OrgPad, worth $149.99. All you have to do is:

The competition runs until September 30th, you have a full three months to channel your creativity and innovation. We can't wait to see what wonderful ideas you'll bring to our community!

Improved search

We have made changes to the search feature within the list of OrgPages. Now, you can also find relevant public materials that match your query. These materials will appear at the end of the search results or after the first two rows of results. The materials will not appear until the query is at least four characters long.

Teams work in a completely new way

Teams are now private. Only their members can see them in the search results and only their members can add OrgPages to them.

⇒ Teams are like folders

When you click on the button to filter OrgPages (the left button next to the search field in the list of OrgPages), you can see all your teams.

When you select a specific team, only OrgPages that have been shared with that team will be displayed in the list. If you are the only member of the team, it resembles a private folder. If there are other people in the team with you, it becomes a shared folder.
