The new OrgPages list now includes only OrgPages that you own or that are shared with you directly or through teams.
Public OrgPages are set aside completely, available in the hamburger menu in the top left corner. You've already created almost 1500 public OrgPages. You can easily find inspiration in them if you need it. But you don't need to load information on them if you only need to work with your documents. This saves time, power, and data.
Searching in the OrgPages overview is now more precise and allows you to search by title, creator name, OrgPage description or tags. The results in the first positions are the documents with the highest match. A number of filters are also now available, for example by team. Documents can also be sorted from most recent or most recently edited, for example.
The search is now also available within the OrgPage, where an exact match is searched, except for case and diacritics. It is available under the magnifying glass symbol or with Ctrl + F. Matches are highlighted. It is possible to move between results using ENTER, or the Page Up and Page Down keys. If the result is in a closed cell, or on another page of the cell, the cell will be opened or relisted to the correct page accordingly. It is also possible to mark all occurrences with Ctrl + A.
From September 1st, you can sign in with a Microsoft account, whether it is a school or company account or a personal account.
This will make logging in much easier and you won't have to remember another password.
This is in addition to the existing options of logging in with a Google account, Facebook account or the classic email and password. You can even use multiple ways to log in to one account at the same time.
The new system dynamically loads higher quality images based on the zoom level. This makes OrgPad more responsive and efficient. At higher zoom levels, for example, the text in the image is automatically sharp and easy to read.
Collaboration and presentation of work is an essential part of OrgPad. About six months ago, we added the ability to share OrgPages for commenting as well.
A logged-in person can only create new cells and link them to existing content from other contributors. But he or she does not have the right to:
In the bottom right corner of a commenting cell, you can see a small profile photo of its creator. When you hover over this profile picture, the creator's name will appear, if filled in.
Teachers often share worksheets in the form of a template. This is a link to an OrgPage that automatically creates a copy of the OrgPage when opened. Previously, students had to share their copy back to the teacher after completing it. This led to problems where, for example, they forgot to do this or shared a read-only document and the teacher could not write feedback on it.
This situation is greatly simplified by the new template links feature. It can be set to automatically share the OrgPage created from them with certain rights back to the OrgPage creator. When such a link is opened, the person concerned is informed about the copy sharing and can easily cancel it. However, if they agree to the sharing, they do not have to deal with it further.
It is important that the work in OrgPad is smooth and the tool does not lag anywhere. Over the last year, we have therefore invested considerable effort in optimizations, thanks to which it is now possible to create significantly larger materials, even on less powerful devices, or with less load, which means longer battery life.
This is due to:
A number of small, but in sum significant improvements have also happened in the background. For example, we significantly accelerated the loading of OrgPages and the OrgPad itself by sending the basic data immediately in response to the first request. Loading OrgPages by many people at the same time is also significantly more efficient, because we keep data about OrgPages in memory on the server and do not have to load them from the database every time.
Since people often embed videos in OrgPad, we decided to improve this feature in several ways.
If you find yourself on YouTube, you can simply grab a video's preview or its caption and drag it onto the OrgPad canvas. The video link can also be copied and pasted into the OrgPad canvas.
OrgPad will automatically download the video preview and allow you to play the video directly in the cell. Under hood, the video is inserted automatically via a special link youtube-nocookie.com so it doesn't save “cookies”. It is likely that you will see fewer ads and it is also better for your privacy.
By dragging the OrgPages title from the panel, it is possible to insert any OrgPage as a cell. It works very similar to the YouTube videos. The OrgPage is embedded as a preview. By clicking on it, the OrgPage will open in a new browser tab. Using the button in the lower left corner, you can open the OrgPage within a cell.
By dragging onto the canvas, it is also possible to insert PDF files, which can be viewed directly in the cells. If you insert them into the body of a cell open for editing, they will be inserted – as before – as a file reference.
Furthermore, it is possible to insert a number of audio and video formats into OrgPages. It will be newly inserted as a directly in-cell playable file with basic controls. Expert settings allow you to set playback in a loop or automatic playback after loading.
Since mid-March, we have been accommodating two Ukrainian war refugees at the company's headquarters. Thanks to them and their acquaintances in Ukraine, translations of OrgPad into Russian and Ukrainian were created.
To all those who collaborated on the translations, a deep bow is due. It was translated in shelters during the ongoing Russian shelling.
On mobile devices, you can now download OrgPad as an app. Just go to orgpad.com in your mobile browser and confirm the installation of the app.
If you don't see this window, just click on the menu in the top right corner and select “Install App” or “Add to Desktop”.
On iPhones and iPads, just click the button
and choose to add to the main screen.
We plan to add a cell content editor for mobile and tablet devices soon.
OrgPad works best in the latest version of Safari on macOS. If you are not using version 16, we recommend upgrading your iOS/macOS. This will greatly improve the way Safari works with OrgPad and everywhere else.
On November 19, we held the second OrgPad conference on the beautiful Next Zone premises in Prague. There were a number of great speakers, and during the breaks people met and discussed over delicious refreshments. The conference stretched almost three hours beyond the schedule, thanks to the pleasant atmosphere. 🤩
If you missed the event, don't worry! Our photographer captured the whole event on camera and you can find all the video recordings of the talks on our YouTube channel. 😉

Epson projected a presentation created in OrgPad at its stand throughout Microsoft roadshow 2022.
For this, we would like to thank Matěj Kopecký, with whom we agreed to cooperate.
We are glad that we could cooperate with Epson since a quality projector is the basis for successful training in every school and company.
OrgPad is based on soft bright colors and smooth physical animations, so projecting it faithfully is technically quite challenging. Epson projectors meet this challenge very well.
Subscriptions purchased before February 1st, 2023 will continue until their planned expiration without change and will be transferred to the new price upon renewal.
